Upgrading My Investment Briefing Made Me Rethink AI's Long-Term Value

一份简报接入代表 AI 的金色加速节点,节点向外延伸轨道,为多个产业提速

This week I did something small that I haven't been able to stop thinking about: I made two upgrades to the "daily industry investment briefing" that gets generated for me automatically every day. Once I was done, I had a much more concrete answer to the question "what is AI's long-term value, really?" Quick disclaimer up front: this is just me sharing my own observations. None of it is investment advice.

What I actually changed

Before the upgrade, news cards pile up in a messy stack; after, they're tied together by a single line of reasoning, with a new biotech branch coming off it

First, I switched the model that writes the briefing to the most capable one my subscription gives me. The reasoning was simple. The thesis and sources I feed it stayed the same, but the "brain" reading them got smarter. The difference was obvious right away. Instead of a pile of headlines, I now get scattered industry news pulled together into one coherent argument that tells me "here's what all of this means when you put it together."

Second, I added a new track to my existing thesis: biotech. My thinking goes like this. LLMs and robotics are improving incredibly fast, and that capability is going to spill over into basic science and biotech, which could seriously speed up breakthroughs in cancer, longevity, anti-aging and even further-out areas. So this isn't me jumping on whatever sector is hot right now. It follows naturally from the thesis I already had.

Why such a small change shifted my thinking

A one-person-plus-AI setup amplifying three outputs at once: MakanCloud, the content pipeline and the briefing

In the past, when I thought about AI, I'd get fixated on "which company, which ticker, what's this rally doing." But after wiring a stronger model into my own analysis workflow myself, I could see much more clearly what AI is actually becoming: an accelerator. It's an industry in its own right, and it's also speeding up every other industry.

By the way, this isn't just armchair theorizing. My day-to-day is building real products as one person plus AI, from MakanCloud (a restaurant SaaS) to this automated content and briefing pipeline. Every single day I feel how much AI multiplies what one person can ship. That firsthand sense of acceleration convinces me of its long-term value more than any research report could.

So what should you watch long-term?

If AI is an accelerator, then what matters long-term isn't how much it went up today. It comes down to three questions: who's being accelerated, by how much, and for how long. That's exactly why biotech made it onto my watchlist. It checks both boxes: a huge market, and one that's already getting a boost from AI spilling over into it.

One more time: everything above is purely my personal view. It's not investment advice, and it doesn't promise any returns. What I really want is to lay my thinking out in the open and compare notes with other people who are watching the AI industry too.
